Boring chase scenes

Eli Solinski (Myles Truitt), a petty thief, discovered a strange weapon that helps him in the future to protect his adopted brother and others from bad guys. From his adopted father, Hal Solinski (Dennis Quaid), he learns that life is hard, but you must do the right thing. Bad guys and aliens(maybe). A handful of chase scenes and whatnot; there are some good shoot-em-up scenes. I kept waiting for the movie to improve, but it never did. We do get a nice wrap-up and potential sequel. --------- If you have the opportunity, be sure to listen to the audio commentary with the writer, as the movie may gain a star or two when you know what they were trying to do with the movie.
