About the Author (Description): Essie B. Johnson is married and has three adult children and grandchildren. She retired from teaching young children after more than thirty years and attended Atlanta Technical College, where she studied Visual Communications and Early Childhood Education. During the summer months, she works as an art instructor at Fulton County Art Camp, teaching children of various ages. She is also an artist who has won numerous awards from Georgia Artists with Disabilities. Essie enjoys writing imaginative stories for young children.
