Kimos great escape

Heading to hawaii? If you are and you have children in elementary school, make sure you take a copy of this ripping yarn about a boy who escapes a deathly ritual and survives at sea as he swims to sanctuary. This entrancing story simply written is moving and beautifully set on the hawaiian islands. Dan Robison is able to tell a story, stay true to anthropological history, and move us toa conclusion without resorting to uneccessary violence or horror. This is a delightful adventure story that we have largely lost from modern childrens fiction.
