Killing It

"Please believe me when I say it was never my intention of becoming a serial killer. All I wanted were better basketball seats." And so begins this morbidly comic tale written by a former editor at National Lampoon.
Once a giant among men, Lemuel Tewksbury finds himself mired in a joyless marriage and a soul-sucking job. Even his beloved basketball season tickets are the worst in the arena. The answer to his troubles may lie in an experimental serum which, its inventor insists, will turn Lemuel back into the powerhouse he once was.
But the serum has serious side-effects, derangement being one. Oddly, as Lemuel descends into madness, he finds that the madness agrees with him. His marriage improves as does work. Soon, the mind-bending side-effects warp his brain to where he's convinced he can get away with knocking off the most vile and heinous that humankind has to offer ... anyone with better basketball seats than him.
Killing It is about a man, like many American men, at the end of his tether and his ludicrous attempt to regain some control over his life.
