A sinful sequel!

I'll admit it, I'm not easily taken with chick lit novels that dabble in the crime world. However, Gemma Halliday reeled me in with her debut SPYING IN HIGH HEELS, and has managed to do the same thing with the sequel KILLER IN HIGH HEELS. As with the previous installment, Halliday has presented Maddie as a fun-loving struggling artist looking to make ends meat in a dead-end job that has her creating children's designs for Payless as opposed to styling stillettos for Prada. Her whiny personality, complaints about doing anything physical - namely sit-ups - and penchant for stopping at every drive-thru within a five-mile radius of her apartment for high-calorie shakes, fries, and burgers are entertaining, and make her stand out from the crowd. Entertaining read that will keep you laughing...

This novel was a great follow up to SPYING IN HIGH HEELS. Not only were the characters entertaining, the book kept me laughing out loud. Ms. Halliday delivers a comedic voice that's both sassy and fun. Ramirez is simply sexy and I can't wait to purchase her next novel. I've already bought several for my friends!

I Loved This Book!!!

I haven't laughed this hard or been so entertained since I read "Spying In High Heels". I read "Killer In High Heels" in just two days. I couldn't put it down. Hats off to you, Gemma. An absolutely wonderful book. I look forward to your next one!

What can I say? I love this character and I loved this book. I think KILLER IN HIGH HEELS might have even been funnier than the first one. Ms. Halliday, keep 'em coming!

This book is a riot!!

Loved it! This book is so much fun... just sit back, relax, and be entertained. I read the first book in the series and was anxious for this one to come out. It did not disappoint me! Maddie and her friends trip to Vegas is laugh-aloud funny. Just reading about Marco's days... and Maddie's nights... will keep you going!
