Wow! Lois Lowry is a great writer. I just finished one of her amazing books called, Number the Stars. In this book there are two great friends. Annemarie is best friends with a Jewish girl named Ellen. They live in Copenhagen. Jews are being forced out of Copenhagen and must go find somewhere to live. Ellen's parents leave and Ellen stays behind with Annemarie to pretend she is part of her family. But when they go down to go see Annemarie's uncle, Ellen and Annemarie get seperated. What's going to happen next? Will Annemarie and Ellen ever see each other again? This book was amazing! It is about a gret friendship between two girls and how they have to go their seperate ways. This book had much action between different people while the war was going on. This was a great book and it will always be. You should really think about reading this book!
HATCHET: A great book for young readers an 11 year-old from P-TOWN, NC

Bears, tornados, and crashes OH MY! These are few of many things that Brian Robeson has to face in Gary Paulsen's, Hatchet. The setting was in the wildreness, and Brian had to learn to survive. All he had was a hatchet, which his mother had given him before he left. Brian finds himself staring death right in the eye several times. When he was picking berries, Brian came face to face with a bear. Also, when he was comfortable and had been there a while, a huge tornado came by. It tore down everything that he had already made and killed. I think that everyone should read this book. This book is full of suspense. Also, I think it is good for any age because it has a good life's lesson.
THE POLAR EXPRESS

I like the book because it was the best book I read. I like the Illustrations the best. The main characters are a boy and Santa. The boy takes a train to the north pole. He got something special from Santa. It fell out of his pocket in the train. The ending of the story is magnificent because he got his something special back. You need to read the book to find out what he receive from Santa and what it stood for.

I literally went page by page through this book! It is a wonderful collection of stories of all kinds, for pleasure and exitement; and you always know it must be a good book when you hear that every single review is written by a kid who loved it! Many of the reviews have pictures of the kids who wrote the reviews, along with some pictures and hilarious tidbits about some of the authors and illustrators of the reviewed books. The minute I got this book I sat down with my mom and we went through it, page by page making a list of must reads. With this book, you'll never be short of something to read!
