My Dad served in World War I and came home a disabled Veteran. We scratched out a living in the cotton fields of West Texas and eleven of us thirteen kids survived. Despite our hardships and losses we were comforted by the love of our mother and one another and we learned to use a unique sense of humor to buffer the adversities of our lives. As adults we were scattered in the wind yet we all wanted to make our Mama and Daddy proud. But as kids, we also wanted to have our fun. That is where it came about that we decided "After all, ALL little brothers are good for something."
