Book Covers Victims' Perspective

This book is very good at covering the perspective of the kidnap victims. A special focus is placed on these peoples' religious views, illustrating how they developed over the course of the event, and how their religion helped them to cope with the event. I was hoping to gain some insight into the kidnappers' motives, methods, and personalities, but I will have to read another book for that. Their names aren't even mentioned until the epilogue, and they only appear in the text in the very slight glimpses seen by the victims.

Kidnapped! In Chowchilla

I have read this book. I could not put it down. I am actually from there. The kidnapping took place when I was 2 1/2 years old. I actually know some of the people who were on that bus. It made me think that I should grow up and raise my children to be very careful and to trust their instincts if they are in a situation like that.

Kidnapped...Held me captive for certain!!

I could not put it down. Definately a "must read" book. Very inspirational and moving. Reminded me not to take the daily life with my children for granted and that God is in control even in the most trying times.
