Shaukat Thanvi, the prominent humorist of the Urdu world, had full access to many genres of Urdu literature at the same time. He was a prolific journalist, columnist, novelist, fiction writer, dramatist and radio feature writer. His style of writing is still popular among the readers due to its cheerfulness and boldness. Shaukat Thanvi has written letters to about fifty renown Urdu celebrities in the form of humor. And in these letters he has borrowed the style of Maulana Azad's famous book "Ghubaar-e-Khatir".
