I very much enjoyed this book. The bond between Jodi and Neil was extraordinary. I was overjoyed to see a lot of great topics in this book; it had romance, friendship and fighting all at once. The way the author put every sentence, every word was amazing. It is a wonderful fantasy for ages 12 and up. Even those who don't usually read fantasy, will not be able to put this book down.

I Can't Wait

This book has loads of action, interesting characters (loved Aladar and Caden), and a great romance. I felt as though I was right there with Jodi and experiencing everything she did. I can't wait till the next one comes out. Do we really have to wait until next year?
Read with a view to high school usage.

I read this through the eyes of a 13 to 15 year old. I enjoyed it and look forward to its sequel. The characters are drawn well and the heroine Jodi Greer has spice and backbone and yet still has her vulnerabilities. The dilemma of her feelings for Neil and her strong attraction to Caden allows for strong identification with Jodi and with her coming of age. Also there is her sense of duty to her mother with its pull to return home. Apart from the above, I found the story well presented, by moving well, as well as its paragraphing, sentence length and vocabulary all making it a good fit for its teenage audience.
A Magical World

This is one of the best fantasies I've ever read, because Jodi was a real girl in a place where magical things happen, like a forest that traps enemies and a mysterious maze plays games with the people in it. I also liked the romance in it and I wish the author would hurry with the next book.
