Absolutely Fabulous!

When trophy wife Dora Lee Hanson gets traded in for a shinier model, she returns to her home in the keys with nothing more than a not-so-lucrative divorce settlement, her ex-husband's stuffed tarpon and a wicked case of Whipped Dog Syndrom. But don't feel too bad for Dora Lee. Her journey toward self-discovery and true love is only beginning. In this heart-warming, laugh out loud tale of new beginnings in the face of setbacks, Mary Stella provides her readers with a highly entertaining read. Her portrayal of the Florida Keys is delightfully accurate and her characters are people you love to root for. If you want a book that makes you laugh, makes you think, and makes you smile, I highly recommend Key of Sea.

Another Delightful Read

This is Mary Stella's second book and is more enjoyable than her first endeavour if that is possible. Dora Lee Hanson leaves the Florida Keys for the bright lights and hopefully a modelling career. Instead she marries a wealthy magnate, J. Walter Morrison III, but after fourteen years of marriage he divorces her for a younger "Trophy" wife. Feeling crushed and rejected, Dora goes home to her grandfather who will welcome her with open arms. Bobby Daulton was crushed when Dora Lee left the Keys the first time. When he sees Dora again after all these years, he realizes his feelings for her have not changed. Bobby decides that this time his "trophy" is not getting away from him and he has every intention of reeling her in before she gets away. The patience of Bobby and the skittishness of Dora makes this a fun, light-hearted, heart warming and touching read. The setting could not have been better for these characters and the storyline works so well for them. Mary Stella has written another winner and leaves this reader eager for more books from her set in the Keys.

Mary Stella has done it again...only better!

I love the Florida Keys, and Key of Sea brings it to life so realistically, you can smell the salt air. Dora Lee is a heroine most of us can relate too--a little bit damaged by life and working on her self esteem. And Bobby is just the medicine we need, er, I mean that Dora Lee needs for her condition. Not only is this a delightful romance, but Mary Stella uses fun Keys references in creative ways, sneaking them into metaphors and similies that will make the reader chuckle. Read this book! And if you haven't already read All Keyed Up, get both.

Hilarious And Fun!!!

Ms. Stella has done it again! She has created another story, full of life like characters that jump off the page and pull the reader into her world. This time around she tackles some important issues but does so with style and a flair that is her own. The end result is a treasure for the romance reader. Dora Lee has just had a life altering experience that she has shared with a mounted Tarpon. Yup, trophy fish and Dora Lee are now reluctant partners. Her wealthy older husband has dumped her for a newer model and this has left Dora Lee with a problem. What on earth is she going to do? With her newfound friend strapped to her Mercedes and the rest of possession in the trunk she heads home to the Keys. Her grampy is waiting for her. She's leaving behind fourteen years of marriage but taking with her self-doubt and insecurity issues thanks to her ex. Will she be able to find love and acceptance at home or will she flounder? Bobby Daulton has loved Dora Lee since he was a teenager. When he sees the beautiful Dora Lee for the first time in a long time he blows it. Or at least he thinks he has. He is determined to hold the line, but Dora Lee is not someone that he can just dismiss. Nor are the feelings that he feels for her. She is the only woman that he has ever loved. Since he can't ignore them he will just have to slowly prove to Dora Lee that his love is for real and that she is still as beautiful as she was years earlier. Will Dora allow herself to be happy with Bobby or will she let things stand in her way? This was a wonderful read! I love Ms. Stella. She truly has a talent for creating characters that jump off the page in order to pull you into their world. Bobby and Dora are very special and their relationship is unique. They have a past but there are issues that make it special. Old friends come back to visit, including "the gang" as well as new friends being introduced. This is a warm and touching read that you won't want to miss. Official Reviewer for Romance Designs

Lose Yourself in the Key Of Sea!

What's a woman to do? Creep of an ex-husband kicks Dora Lee to the curb without so much as a "it's been fun-thank you" note and she has to find a way to back to herself. A trip that begins with going home to the Keys; a place she had planned and dreamed so earnestly to escape from. Once a trophy wife and is now hauling her own trophy, she heads back home to friends and family to find a dream to sustain her. Any dream will do! Enter into the picture the handsome, witty and oh so virile Bobby who would like nothing better than to sweep Dora Lee off her feet and onto his fishing boat and into his life. This was the woman years ago that had broken Bobby's heart when she spurned his attentions, but now he's all grown up, filled out and he sure isn't the same boy she left behind on the white sands of the Keys! This is a romantic tale of chasing your dreams, love of family and friends and never-say-die to that second chance at true love. Inspirational as it is funny, you find yourself cheering for Dora Lee and the patience of Bobby as he waits oh so charmingly for Dora Lee to see what is right in front of her. This is the second book from Mary Stella, her previous book "All Keyed Up" was also set in the Keys and those characters from that book do make appearances in Key of Sea! If you're looking for a great book that isn't standard formula and that will make you smile and laugh..as well as ahhhhh at the tender love scenes, this book is for you. Pretend you're in the Keys, let that tropical breeze wash over you and lose yourself in the "Sea of Key".
