When Abraham Lincoln was a young boy he was nicknamed Abe. Abe and his sisterSarah walked two miles to a one-room log schoolhouse. The children sat on a long benchand read out loud. Their voices echoed through the room with a "blab" sound. Abecalled it his "blab" school. Abe was smart and loved to study and work with numbers.But with so much work to do at home he couldn't attend school often.
