Grooming book

Keith is a cat who feels more relatable to pigeons. He climbs the tree to spend time with them but isn't accepted. He is only able to be part of their club when he dresses as a pigeon. In the end they accept him and say "you aren't a pigeon. You aren't a cat. You are Keith." I'm sorry but Keith IS a cat. This book felt like a grooming book where it's encouraging children to deny their original identity and claim something else. We can be proud in the original identity we were born!
