Like so many people, I've spent way too much money on things to make me happy: cars, boats, computers, hobbies, education, domestic and world travel, donations to churches and causes, and embarrassing sums of money on pursuing The Relationship.

Now, in my 50's, I'm back where I started with nothing to show for it. I'm single and living with my parents. I have no partner, no nest egg, a 17-year-old car, and my last job was bagging groceries. As the American Dream goes, my life has been a big waste.

But I wouldn't change a thing.

If you're after the worldly stuff, I wish you well, but this probably isn't your book. But then, it might be. Who knows?
