in 2017, ashley anne katich published her first collection of poetry- ashes to ashes: rebirth, renewal, and destruction: a collection of poems. writing was a way to work through love and loss, to reflect on an experiment with sobriety, and to try and understand a new and confusing spiritual experience.

now, in keep moving forward , the author returns to familiar feelings of romantic grief following a devastating breakup. there, she discovers that when everything is falling apart, looking backwards and sitting still can sometimes be the only way forward. through the hurt, she learns to sit, let go, and breathe in order to begin to heal.
