This is a historic photographic journey as seen through the author's eyes while visiting a POW camp in Dachau, Germany. While viewing the images and grounds, she had no idea that it would awaken memories and ultimately, release the prisoner she had become. Her 28-year U.S. Army career and the terror she had seen in Dachau seemed to be intertwined with the memories of her household horrors, where at 17, she finally escaped years of abuse. These images represent the pain of those in concentration camps, as well as those from her own home prison.
