Kathleen Kennedy

I always thought Kathleen Kennedy's life was very fascinating, so I was pleased to find out that there was a book entirely focused on her life. She was loved by many people, not only in America, but in England as well. She struggled immensely with the decision to marry Billy and ended up hurting her mother because of Rose's deep Catholic faith. I found it very sad at the end when Kathleen died in the plane crash with her lover. Rose never went to the funeral. In her short life, she touched many people's lives with her humor and cheeriness. Highly recommended.

They Called Her Kick -- And She Broke All The Rules!

This book is glamorous and sexy! Kathleen Kennedy, called "Kick" by her adoring brothers, was the most beautiful, passionate and spontaneous of all the Kennedy children. Born to wealth and power in Boston, she defied her rigid, loveless and unforgiving mother to marry an English aristocrat -- only to lose him in the carnage of World War II. After the war, Kick drifted aimlessly for a time, sleep walking through elegant London parties until fate threw her in the path of a dark, divorced nobleman even more desirable than her late husband. Scandal resulted, and in the flight to freedom Kick lost her life. It was a tragic accident that hinted at years of heartbreak to come for the glamorous Kennedy clan. But Kick's story is fascinating, spell-binding and true!

MAGNIFICENT

This is a truly fabulous, incredible book about the most interesting of the Kennedy family. Kick Kennedy is a joy to read about, and Taggart gives the perfect flavor of the time, including anecdotes about the war and personalities like Pamela Digby (later Pamela Harriman, Ambassador to France) and the Mitford girls. Kick comes across as a marvelous, spirited woman who was gone too soon. You should definitely read it. Fast-paced and energetic. A true page-turner. You also learn more about the other members of the Kennedy clan by reading this book. For example, Rose disapproved of Kathleen's lifestyle and said that the plane crash was God's way of telling her "no." John, on the other hand, actually cried when he heard the news---she was his favorite sister!
