English summary: In the summer of 1911 Karl Barth moved from Geneva to the parish Safenwil in Aargau, where the nature of his preaching quickly took on a new form. In his inaugural sermon at this new location, he emphasized that he was not empowered to speak in his own name, but only in the name of God. Having recently preached on the Beatitudes at Calvin's former pulpit, he now continued his sermons with an interpretation of the Lord's Prayer. While in Geneva he had been addressing the educated bourgeoisie, his sermons were now closer to the people. In doing so he repeatedly addressed political and everyday events, as well as social problems. He did so based on the conviction that the ancient biblical texts speak to the people of today, indeed to the very people gathered below the pulpit. Schon in seiner Antrittspredigt am neuen Ort hebt er hervor, dass er nicht im eigenen Namen, sondern in Gottes Namen zu reden beauftragt sei. Nachdem er zuletzt auf der ehemaligen Kanzel Calvins die Seligpreisungen ausgelegt hat, setzt er nun seine Kanzelreden fort mit einer Auslegung des Unservaters. Hat er sich in Genf an ein gehobenes Bildungsburgertum gewandt, werden seine Predigten nun volksnaher. Er geht darin immer wieder auch auf politische Vorkommnisse und Alltagsereignisse, auch auf soziale Probleme ein. Und er tut dies in der Grunduberzeugung, dass die alten Bibeltexte aktuell zu den heutigen Menschen, ja, direkt zu den unter der Kanzel versammelten Leuten sprechen.
