Twenty-seven-year-old child psychologist Karie Bernadette is, unfortunately, sucked into the world of politics when her five friends (her only five friends) become heavily invested in a presidential election. As this election progresses, Karie becomes more and more disillusioned at just how horrible the two candidates that win the primaries are. This eventually comes to a head when her five friends are motivated to perform an extremist action and demand that Karie participate in their villainy.

Karie Bernadette and the Presidential Election is a scathing criticism of United States politics by mirroring the ridiculousness of the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. The author, Michael A Bennet, believes that this novel will have at least some appeal to anyone who doesn't see the world through the hateful bias of conservatism.
