Cost-Effective Supplement for Today's Needs

I'm all for getting the 2009 Kaplan book on Macro/Microeconomics. But considering the price used, this 2007 one is going to be helpful right now as well. First, let me say I have the 2009 and 2008 editions in addition to this 2007 edition. I use these books as materials for courses I teach, especially to develop more multiple choice questions. I don't see any difference in the content of each of these versions: 2007, 2008 and 2009. The multiple choice questions are different. And you really want to get as large a sample set of multiple choice questions as you can if you're facing the AP Exam. The actual questions are derivatives of these questions in a sense. It's worth taking the time to drill with more practice questions, especially considering that detailed answers are provided. The only thing about this 2007 version that you can skip is the free-response section. But you still get one full-length practice exam for each course. And you get "diagnostic tests" as well - more multiple choice questions. For these reasons, and considering that the content hasn't changed at all, I recommend getting this book just to have more practice questions at a very good price used.

A good overview for students preparing for the AP Economics tests. Comprehensive summary and excellent study and practice questions.

Worth the $$$

Having an excellent economics teacher is not enough, however, having an excellent prep book is!! After purchasing this book, I have no regrets and can say that this book goes into every detail that is vital for the test and also presents the material in a systematic, clear and consice way with enough examples not to confuse you. Plus, at the end of each section, there is a small review with all the important notes that are covered in th chapter and there are about 20-22 multiple choice practice questions with detailed answers, explicating each step. Also, there is a free response section which presents questions that can really challenge your mind and provide you with the confidence.
