This Final Course Project (TCC) presents an extensive report on the migration of Haitians to Cuiab , capital of Mato Grosso, in 2014. We sought out two main characters to tell us about their journey between the Caribbean country and Brazil and, from there, try to understand the context that led them to migrate here and how we, as natives, can alleviate the difficulties they face. In order to provide the reader with as much information as possible, we also discuss the history of Haiti, the characteristics of Haitian-Brazilian migration, and details of the behavior, personality, and living conditions of the immigrants interviewed, framing the narrative in the style known as "new journalism." The title of the work also says a lot about our scientific discovery: all Haitians come to work in search of a better life.
