The Gypsies come like bright colors on a gray wind to Sade's village. She finds herself swept up into their life of music and laughter, and grows close to a beautiful woman named Kana. But Sade's father suddenly forbids her from meeting with the travelers, and Sade is caught between her fascination of the Gypsies and her love for her father. Soon, the Gypsies leave the village, and Sade finds herself alone again with her father. Then, one day, he catches her hand, and tells something that turns her world upside down. "You have a sister," he says. "She is a Gypsy."
