Kalopsia is a collection of poetry written by a young black single mother in her early twenties. Her poetry is an expression of her being lost and trying to find her way. She often references her self as a tree. She identifies with tree's having seasons, rotting, rebirth, confidence, burning, and resilience. She struggles with her confidence but always finds away to pick herself up with affirmations and similes comparing her self to nature.
