Just Beneath the Surface is a story told through the eyes of two relatively unknown artists. Separated by a distance of four thousand miles and a span of one hundred and twenty-nine years, their lives through providence are bridged together by the unique friendship of a mysterious young man named, M.E. Yud. In the spring of 1886, Vincent Van Gogh is attempting to break through the stuffy and well-guarded art scene in Paris, France. While attending the Independent Impressionist Art Exhibit, Van Gogh meets Emma von Rothschild, a well-known socialite from London, England. Together they form an unlikely bond that will prove to have a profound effect on Vincent's life. Meanwhile, in 2015, Jackson Miller, a master custom framer by trade, is trying his best to crossover into the Atlanta art world as a painter. While Miller is preparing for a major upcoming art show, Lorraine Walker, a former award-winning movie actress comes into his custom frame shop with an exciting but dangerous business proposition. Miller's normally laid-back existence is suddenly turned upside down when the painting Walker owns is wanted by an enemy from her past. Adventure, art, love, and wonder ensues as they weave their way through the intrigue and excitement confronting them.
