Beautifully Written

This book is a beautifully written and absorbing book. The author is able to capture the voices of the male and female characters with equal intensity. The story is sad at times, but always hopeful. A must-read!

Provoking and a message about life

A lot of heart went into this book and is well written. The relationships which were developed in this book were well thought out and developed in a manner that engages the reader into wanting to know what finally happens by the end of the story. Not giving up any specific details but the spiritual aspect of a love/hate and love/friend relationship are used rather handsomely.

A life unfolding

This is a tender story of an ordinary (extrordinary) man who brings us with him as he examines his life, his loves and his destiny. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and look forward to more from this author.

Brilliant, Memorable

Just Before the Dawn is a BRILLIANT debut novel. It tells a story about the two lives we all lead, the temporal and the spiritual, within the context of a man/woman love story. It is a tale of life, love, loss, redemption, growth, spirituality. There are parts of this story that will tug at your heart strings just a little and other parts that will make you laugh out loud. This is a sharp, thoughtful, very readable, enjoyable novel. BRILLIANT ! -- Joe Balsanky Ny, Ny
