The little fledgling is tossed around by the wind and lands in the trees on the far edge of the yard. Trying to find his way back home, he encounters new creatures who have their own issues after the storm. While they sympathize with him, they cannot help him, saying he is 'just a baby sparrow.'

He finds a hero in Crow and an unlikely friendship is formed. By the time he finds his nest, he has learned many things in his adventure, discovering himself along the way.
