Jury-Rigged
One scrap-born rebel. One shot at something bigger.
When pirates attack his frontier outpost, Peter fights back with bombs made from scrap and desperate cunning. His improvised heroics catch the Federation Academy's attention thrusting him into a world where sponsor money buys deadly advantages.
What happens when merit meets money?
The Academy's neural-link training is brutal enough without mysterious "DLN" sabotage targeting expensive gear. While aristocrats like Rowan DuLain rely on House-funded modules,
Peter survives on salvage instincts and his mismatched squad: Sage's tech skills, Kiera's coding genius, and Mimi's unstoppable force.
Who's pulling the strings behind the sabotage?
But why does sabotage hunt sponsor equipment? Who controls the Academy's hidden morality tests? And when corporate Houses demand results at any cost, how many cadets will sacrifice integrity for survival?
From VR simulations to piloting massive doppelganger war-suits, Peter discovers the Federation's training hides situations with a darker purpose. Sponsor corruption runs deeper than anyone imagined.
Can integrity survive in a system rigged by wealth?
The real enemy isn't aliens but the system itself. Can a salvage rat's determination overcome aristocratic privilege?
Will Peter's squad expose the conspiracy before the Three-Strike system destroys them?
The frontier worlds need honest officers. But first, they must survive an Academy where integrity is the deadliest weapon.
The opportunities are waiting for those who ... think different.
