Please find me, Thomas Please "
Four years ago, Dr. Gina Brady broke Thomas Prescott's heart, but now her panic-stricken voicemail message starts it beating again with a fury. Thugs kidnapped the good doctor from the remote Bolivian village where she was working, and now Thomas's expert skills are desperately needed to save her.
The retired homicide detective is quickly on a plane to South America. Hitching a ride on the charter flight of an archeological expedition, Thomas meets Incan scholar Andy Depree, who, along with a documentary crew, is searching for Paititi, a legendary Incan city. It seems the dense jungle hides many secrets, including long lost treasure.
Abducted by menacing brutes to minister to a wounded man, Gina cleverly leaves a trail of clues for Thomas to follow. Slogging through the jungle and seeking a way to make her escape, she also struggles to discern this secretive group's purpose. Another goal: staying alive.
Thomas hires a colorful but perhaps untrustworthy guide, then heads into the bush in pursuit of Gina. Drawing from reserves he didn't know he had, he encounters treacherous foes small and large--from furious biting ants to gun-toting narco-traffickers.
Meanwhile, mild-mannered academic Andy Depree faces challenges of his own. The documentary crew is headed by an out of control egomaniac, and Andy has a romantic yen for a sexy archaeologist. While searching for buried temples and a golden jaguar, Andy realizes he's in a remote location and surrounded by duplicity and lies. Angry alligators may be the least of his worries.
When their paths cross, there will be deadly consequences for all three groups. Plunged into a thicket of madness, replete with fierce wildlife, ruthless men and conflicting aims, Thomas Prescott is pushed to the limit physically and mentally. But he will not relent in this punishing quest until, once again, he holds Gina in his arms.
