Loving the Drawings

I purchased "Jungle Gym Jitters", primarily for the drawings. At first glance they look similar to drawings from Doctor Suess, but one soon realizes their own magical delightfulness. The book's paper it's self feels wonderful in one's hands. After looking at the drawings several times, I found myself intrigued by the story line. There are wonderful family relationships in existence while everyone is making use jungle gym. The examination of cause and effect in creativeness is a wonder to study. An example would be the dad washing dishes and the effect on the gym the next day. There are many other examples for one to discover. Share the book with a child or grandchild, then go visit a play ground or explore your own backyard.

Great Artwork

Although this is a children's book, I bought it for the great artwork. Chuck Richards is a great art instructor and skilled artist. Exploring his drawings in Jungle Gym Jitters can keep you entertained for hours! As the other reviewer said, the high quality paper of the pages has a different, textured feel to it--another bonus. Recommended!

A Wild, Wacky, Wondrous Ride

I am honored to be the first reviewer. Why? This book is an insanely creative cacophony of highly detailed drawings and story-unfolding, and while the ending is a bit anti-climatic, it's the journey, not the destination, that delights in this beautifully illustrated book. No attention to quality was spared, either. The paper has a tactile, pebbled texture I don't think I've had the pleasure of touching, ever. The sensation of the paper was worth the cost of itself being printed upon. :) I'll leave the premise of the book to be explored by y'all... Enjoy the ride!
