Dean Christine Davis Easterling is a retired teacher and school administrator who served students in Washington, DC, for over thirty years. As a certified dean of Standard Leadership Schools in affiliation with the National Baptist Convention, USA, she's responsible for accrediting church schools. She's also the past president of the District of Columbia Retired Educators Association. Christine Easterling displays her certification as dean of Christian education at First Baptist Church in Northwest Washington, DC. She is an active member of First Baptist Church in Northwest Washington. At First Baptist, she's served as a member of the Board of Christian Education, director of Vacation Bible School, and chairperson of the fall and spring institutes. She's been a member of the First Baptist Gospel Choir for fifteen years. She is a retired teacher and school administrator who worked for more than thirty years in the District of Columbia public school system. She is the former president of the DC Retired Educators Association (DCREA) and author of Inspirational Treasures: Essays by Educators and the Students Reflecting the Joy of Teaching. She also wrote A Giant for Justice: Biography of William H "Bill" Simons, which is a twenty-five-year history of the Washington teachers union. She teaches a "Miracles of Jesus" class for the Baptist Congress of Christian Education, state of Maryland, from her latest book, titled The Miracles of Jesus. She has been cited on numerous occasions for her outstanding work in the local education arena and in the DC community. She was recently certified as dean of Standard Leadership Training Schools in affiliation with the National Baptist Convention, USA Inc., receiving her certification at the annual northeast regional conference. She performs community service with a global perspective as a fifty-year member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
