Pro-democracy groups, fearing that Babangida had an hidden agenda to remain in power after seven years of ruling, marshalled as a formidable force to resist military rule and insist on the exit of Babangida. This led to massive crackdown on individuals, pro-democracy groups, media houses, and other organisations....
