"Jump Start Your Day" is a book with a daily smile, a story, a scripture and a saying. Most of the daily 'smiles' consist of people jokes, or a humorous incident about a person. The "story" may be a devotional comment and/or some personal trivia or experience about the author. The "scripture" and the "saying" usually complement the "story."Since many jokes have reoccurring themes, the devotional and trivia comments are repeated throughout the book, including a salvation emphasis on several days.It has been said that: "A smile is the lighting system of the face, the cooling system of the head, and the heating system of the heart." So may this book give you a smile, a cool head and a warm heart. Dan Goldsmith was born and raised in Chatham, Ontario. He is a graduate of Prairie Bible Institute, Three Hills, AB and Columbia International University, Columbia, SC. He began his pastoral ministry in 1958, ministering in Alberta and British Columbia for over forty years. He married his wife Leona in 1959 and they have three children and five grandsons. Dan was raised in a family that loved the Lord and loved to laugh. These two loves have been evident in his home, his ministry and his inter-action with others. "Jump Start Your Day" is his second book, and he says the last one. He is going to retire again
