Growing up an only child, I spent a lot of time with my Mom. One of my favorite memories is Saturday mornings when we would sit and drink coffee and she would tell me stories about her family. But, the best times with my Mom was cooking with her. My Mom was not a gourmet cook -- she couldn't make a pot roast to save her life -- but she did have some recipes that were favorites of mine and my Dad.This is a cookbook of some of my favorite dishes that my Mom and I made with stories about how they came to be.
