Judgment: God's Wrath

The subject of judgment has been a topic of speculation and concern throughout the world's history. Each dispensation was accompanied by a period of enlightenment and a catastrophic end. In these last days, judgment has even greater importance as prophecies are rapidly being fulfilled and each day grows increasingly darker. The covenant designed to prevent disorder is broken, and only judgment can bring forth Zion. Joseph Smith explained, "But the Gentiles have not continued in the goodness of God, but have departed from the faith that was once delivered to the Saints, and have broken the covenant in which their fathers were established (see Isaiah 24:5); and have become high-minded, and have not feared. Therefore, but few of them will be gathered with the chosen family. Have not the pride, high-mindedness, and unbelief of the Gentiles provoked the Holy One of Israel to withdraw His Holy Spirit from them, and send forth His judgments to scourge them for their wickedness? This is certainly the case. Zion must be redeemed with judgment and her converts with righteousness."For all who await the long-prophesied and much-anticipated last days, judgment is a subject that cannot be ignored. Its accompanying desolation are remarkably orchestrated to bring forth the conditions needed to sanctify the earth and its inhabitants who heed the Lord's call to repentance.
