What follows is a whirlwind adventure that spans the globe, with harrowing scenes of abuse and violence overshadowed by moments of discovery and wonder. If you have ever wondered if there is life after death, and if pets are allowed, this book doesn't really offer a serious answer to those unanswerable questions, but it certainly has a lot of fun with them. Other elements include a unique style of time travel, romance, sex (not much and not graphic) and a grand celebration of individuality and the powers of the human mind. Fans of fundamentalist religion or Donald Trump might want to sit this one out. Be prepared to stay up late trying to read this in one sitting, and keep a box of Kleenex handy. The ending will not disappoint you.
