The word daimon, if translated correctly in the gospel of Judas, reveals Judas to be a prideful demon working for the chief demon, Yaldaboath. He was not a spirit in the Greek sense as translated by the National Geographic staff. In Gnostic literature 'daimon' is always taken to mean 'demon'. Judas was a demon,not set apart 'for' the holy generation, but he is separated 'from' it."
