A Biblical View of the Problem of Suffering

No one can deny that there is pain and suffering in the world, they are common human experiences. This book addresses these issues from a well-rounded biblical perspective. The authors examine a number of reasons why pain and suffering exist, these reasons include: human sin, persecution for our faith, and God's testing or refining process to purify us. The book also acknowledges that sometimes we just do not know why difficulties come into our lives. The authors do not stop with diagnosing the reasons for suffering and pain they also offer counsel about how we can relieve or respond to these problems. This book is very readable and in addition to sound theology it also contains accounts of the authors' own experiences. If you want to have a truly biblical understanding of the problems of suffering and pain or you want to be able to minister with compassion to those who are suffering read this book.
