Jacinta da Cruz Rodgers was heartbroken when her mother, a poor widow in Brazil, gave her up to a family who could not have children.
But every new day for her while growing up was an adventure, which helped her forget the past until, that is, her mother took her back and placed her in a loveless orphanage.
One thing she did enjoy at the orphanage, however, was Bible story time. While she did not always understand everything, she knew it was God's Word-and every story she heard was like a seed planted in her heart.
In this memoir, Jacinta shares how she moved closer to the Lord, eventually becoming a missionary for Trans World Radio.
From her first mission in a remote part of Brazil to traveling to Bonaire-an island of flamingoes-and on to Swaziland in Africa, she praised the Lord. Her ministry also took her to Israel and back to Brazil, following God's plan at each new place.
