The Adventures of Leaf is a delightful story for young and old readers alike. It is the tale of a distressed maple leaf whose tenuous hold on the tree is broken by the cool, fall wind. Her many adventures teach her about life and friendship. She believes her life is over, but when we read about a new bud on the same tree in the following springtime, we know the spirit of Leaf has been reborn in a new form. To the author the Journeys series means: Life is full of journeys. Some roads you choose, and some are chosen for you. Some are easy while others are more difficult. It is the age-old tale of living and dying, learning and growing. We do this together to make the journey easier. The Adventures of Leaf: The lessons life and death teach us. Professor Peanuts and his Pals: Responsibility The Gathering of the Winds: The power of becoming something greater than yourself while still being who you are.
What a wonderful book for children! I highly recommend it for children of all ages, sizes and types. The story of Leaf as she takes her journey throughout her world symbolizes a child's life as they grow and learn. Journeys gives a lovely representation of the world as seen through nature and as far as I'm concerned it deserves six stars at best!

Journeys is a wonderful book based on the adventures of a leaf and how she learns about life! She travels on the wind, meets a thornbush and is even thrown into the water before she faces death only to be born again in the spring. I would highly recommend it for children who have faced losses in their life and think it would benefit and entertain children of all ages. I give this book a five star review! Plus the pictures were done by students and they're just wonderful!
