Journeys of Freedom

"Journeys of Freedom," my second book of poetry, would not have been published without the encouragement of family and friends. Initially, it was my intention to publish one and only one book of poetry, "What I Know... Poems of Life," as a testament to my existence. After "What I Know..." was published, I was frequently asked if I would be publishing a second book. Easier said than done Many of the previously published poems in "What I Know..." were written over a period spanning twenty years and covered various stages of my life. It has taken a couple of years for inspiration to gift me again with this body of new poems. Much love and gratitude to my daughters for their due diligence in proofing and offering constructive commentary. One particularly interesting commentary was from the younger of the two; she observed and expressed concern of my admitting to an addiction she thought drugs] because she 'had not' read the introductory quote to "GIVE ME FRE," which is why "READING IS FUNDAMENTAL "
