My Most Favorite Book as a Kid

I had this book when I was a kid in the early 1980's. It was my favorite book and I took it everywhere, as it was a small paperback version that fit into the back pocket of my jeans or my coat pocket. I read it all the time, chasing a new adventure with every new choice I made...until I had memorized the WHOLE book. I left it in the back of a friend's grandparents RV on a camping trip and never saw it again. 45 years later all I could remember was DIVER and ATLANTIS in my Google search for "kids book with choices" and it popped up 12th on the list. I'm so excited to give it to my nephew, so he can enjoy the same adventures I did at his age. So Happy😁

One of the top books in the series

If you're not sure which one of the Choose Your Own Adventure series you should buy, I would definitely recommend this one. New readers will love the exciting plot, and older readers will enjoy the ability to pick their own ending. This story is centered around the search for the ancient city of Atlantis. There are lots of interesting sea creatures and exciting twists in the story. There is a lot more to the story of Atlantis and its residents, the Atlanteans, than you know!

Stuck below the wide, wide sea

They're BAAAAACK

I was in the bookstore tonight with my son and saw something wonderful - a whole display of Choose Your Own Adventure Books ! I loved these books when I was a kid, and my son (age 6) found a box of about 50 of them I was keeping downstairs and has been reading them over the last few months (with help, of course !) He loves to read, and loves the fact he gets to make choices in the book. In any event, this particular book was one that I had in my original collection. I agree with the reviewer above - for the most part, Edward Packard's books were better ... but that's not to say RA Montgomery's aren't worth a purchase. If you havent tried these books, they're a great way to get kids ages 6 - 12 interested in reading. Now if only they'd reprint the "Which Way" series as well. I loved Vampires, Spies and Alien Beings.

A Classic in the making

This book is about your quest to find the lost city of Atlantis. Along the way watch out for killer sharks, giant squids, underwater earthquakes and more. One wrong choice and you could end up with treasure beyond your dreams or sleeping with the fishes!! The Choose Your Own Adventure series is excellent to motivate your children and students to read. The book lets you make your own choices and find out what happens to your character. Kind of like a video game in a book. If you choose to lauch you adventure in reading, go to page 5. If you choose to miss the biggest thing since Harry Potter with a Pokemon twist in collectable books, go to page 36.
