One Woman's Spritiual Journey from Self-Hatred to Self-Love
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 20 years ago
"Journey to the Still Point" is the true story of the author's (Constance Pope's) spiritual journey. It starts at place where she feels great self-loathing, and is surrounded by negative feelings, and ends at the point where she realizes self-love, and the many wonderful feelings that are associated with it. It appears that much of the self-hatred Ms. Pope experienced was due to a disconnection between her religious beliefs, and her sexual preference - as she was a lesbian, and yet believed that this "orientation" was somehow sinful & unnatural. Through a process of various meditations and encounters with her spirit guides, she learns of relevant past-lives, and how they have impacted the life she is living currently - as well as the nature of the "blocks" she had that were stopping her from living a joyful life. Overall, I found this to be an easy to read, interesting look at one woman's spiritual journey. However, this is not for the faint of heart - as some of the language is quite provactive, and may offend some readers. An open mind is a must!
