Most days, the author of this story, explored and played alone in the woods near his cottage. That is where he met the Goblyn of Shadows, who was fun and exciting, knew the best hiding places and played dangerous games. The Goblyn also encouraged the boy to do things he knew were wrong and even hurtful. Then he met two Knights, Sir Practicar and Sir Virtue; Cesil S a praying mantis; Princess Kitty Kay an orange tabby; and Jesus King of kings.

The author relates how the events of his life, both good and bad, shaped him into becoming a King!
