Buddhi Lal Bhandari was born in March of 1951 in the Parche Village of Bandipur, which lies in the Tanahun district of western Nepal. He was educated at Tribhuvan University and worked in various industrial, commercial, and governmental positions. He married and sired two sons and a daughter, who blessed him with grandchildren. His story is one of triumph over various severe illnesses in a land of limited medical resources. There is much inspiration in his struggle for self-knowledge and in his affirmation of faith in a monotheistic God.
