Journalists - chess players

Without even suspecting it, the author began to write this work in November 2020, when he published a chronicle made to the winner of the National Literature Prize of Cuba, Eduardo Heras Leon, a strong chess player, and concluded it on April 15, 2021 with the icon of universal chess Robert Fischer, not because he has practiced journalism, but because "he interviewed me" when we talked in 1966 in Havana. The truth is that, almost without intending it, little by little, interviews were accumulating in which the interviewed chess player had or had once been a chess journalist.The order I have given to the interviews may seem capricious. It happens that I wanted to keep the same order in which they appeared in Cubaperiodistas. In the index I have only put the names, in order to immediately identify the protagonists, 10 foreigners and 8 Cubans.Stimulated by olegas de las letras, this collection of interviews is now available to Spanish-speaking readers in this work, which we hope will be to the liking of chess-loving readers and, of course, of chess journalists who practice chess.
