Journalistic Treatment of the Student Movement of 1918

This book is the result of an investigation into the journalistic treatment of the student movement, known as the University Reform of 1918, through the journalistic content available in La Gaceta Universitaria de C rdoba and the newspaper La Opini n de San Luis. This analysis was based on Violette Morin's journalistic treatment of information (TPI) and Klauss Krappendorf's units of analysis, as a methodological proposal. The time frame for this research was May, June and July 1918; considering this quarter as the relevant one to analyse due to the chronology of events that occurred after the student movement, journalistic material was collected, classified and interpreted from 22 editions of La Gaceta Universitaria and 72 issues of La Opini n de San Lu s. From the aforementioned, 4389 units of information were detected between the two publications. The news and editorials were classified according to categories considered relevant for the journalistic treatment of the Student Movement.
