"Journal of My Life", aside from being the title of this anthology, was a series of creative nonfiction writing workshops offered in partnership with the Los Angeles Public Library's Adult Literacy program during the Fall of 2021 into the early months of 2022. The purpose of this workshop series was to celebrate and honor the universal human trait of Storytelling. Specifically, this series was designed to reinforce the skills adult learners were developing in the English language; and it was designed to empower them through the celebration of their individual stories. This is a glimpse into their lives.
