This is the saga of Jose' Gaspar.... a notorius pirate of the 19th century off the Florida Coast. His life and times are shrouded in mystery, intrigue and violence. His cruelty and pirating lifestyle... This description may be from another edition of this product.
It's a great book...one of those that you can't put down. "Jose Gaspar" is the fictional account of what may have actually happened to the legendary buccaneer. I liked it because it has all the elements...excitement, romance, courage and drama. A super book to warm up to on a rainy day.
This historical adventure story captures a bygone time.

As a Florida resident, I found it intriguing to read about a character from the early days of the peninsula, before it became a part of the United States. The book brings to light the rough and murderous ways of the pirates that once plied the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. The tale is told in an entertaining way which keeps one's attention from start to finish.
Jose Gaspar is one of the best books I've ever read.
