The Incarcerated Truth compels facts that I feel need to be told. On August 14, 2015, I was sentenced in Hillsborough County, Florida, to 20 years in prison due to a situation that occurred after a meeting with my son's soon to be stepfather. I was not looking for trouble, but on that day in April 2014, trouble found me. A rash decision made during a fit of rage has taken me away from my children, my family, my students and my friends. No one can tell my truths the way I can and I feel that my sons need to know the truth from me and not what others may tell them. Although some of the information expressed in this book may not be "politically correct," I'm giving it to the readers "blood raw." I was not perfect, but I tried my best to be a perfect father to my boys.Sitting in the custody of the Florida Department of Corrections, I found the time to reflect and write what needs to be known regarding past relationships, how I feel about my kids, and also reflect on how I feel being that my father chose to be absent for most of my life. I never wanted to absent from the lives of my own kids, but impulses got the best of me.
