I really wanted to like this book. It was such an interesting concept. But the dialogue was so robotic, and it didn't always have a point. And then I had to listen to the narrator describe every little detail of not one, not two, but threeeeee movies back to back. I couldn't do it. I just couldn't do it. I was going to lose my mind!
I didn't even feel like the two main characters were in love. And I'll ship anyone! My friends actually like to joke that I hoe them out because they look at someone a second too long and I ship it. xD But apart from the narrator saying they loved each other a couple of times there wasn't anything romantic. I honestly got more passion and sincerity when he talked about the theoretical girl he saw at the beginning, which was a whole other slew of issues I won't get into, other than to say they clearly weren't in love, and clearly weren't ready to get married.
